How is Allen doing, right now?

RIGHT NOW he is about as stable as he has ever been in Aather--he has been trending towards being much more zen and stable, though he's still got vestiges of his original tsun/distrust/prickly self. It manifests differently with people--teammates are the ones that he lets his guard down the most around, partially because he trusts them, and partly because he feels responsible to them, and wants them to feel like they can trust him in turn! With other people, though, he still has a pretty healthy dose of IT'S NOT LIKE I LIKE YOU OR ANYTHING!! though he still tries to help and be constructive as best he can.

AT THE SAME TIME ... I handwaved him taking this memory, but he does know that he has the potential to become something very dangerous--he had a thread with Firebird where she kept commenting he was "different" and she couldn't figure out how, and now he remembers that there is essentially a dormant headmonster that could very well explode and make him a threat to his friends. HE IS STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TELL THEM, and in the meantime is lying hardcore about any issues, yay poker face. 8Db He's hit the point where he doesn't care about winning beyond wanting more information that he can use to inform people when the time comes. '-'

HOW IS SHION '^'

Shion is doing pretty well. The trauma game could have either been a disaster, or reaffirmed her love and trust for her team. It did the latter. And I mean it when I say 'trust.' At this point, Shion will probably actually tell them, when she gets her huge trauma memories. Allen's refusal to kill the swan will also play into her later memories, possibly making one of them easier to deal with. Seriously, I don't think there's anything in the universe she wouldn't trust Allen with now.

The down side in her life is learning what happened to Shiemi. She's going to be spending a lot of time at that crack, trying to see if she can hear anything and talking to her.

Narrowly avoided in the last game! If Sapphire had actually killed the swan... Sacrifice/mercy kill is one of Shion's major triggers, and she doesn't even know she has it. But Sapphire didn't. Bless you, Allen Walker.

I want to give her a couple of happy memories of her world, just cause she's starting to detach from it, in Aather, but after that, I'll be giving her the first dose of the canon PTSD, in the form of repressed childhood memories, I think.

How has Snake been changed by Aather from his canon self, if at all?

The way his memories have shaken out, he's kind of in his later stages of wanting to gather all the PTSD fighters under his wings, but without the villainous angle of NOW LET'S GO START A PERPETUAL WAR AND USE PEOPLE. Which is to me, hilarious. He's genuinely seeking out and bonding with people about how rough things can be, but he's also still fairly doofy. It is fun!

How is Shion and Sapphire itself?

Shion has never had more Sapphire dere in her life! Like, at this point, she'd be seriously considering staying in Aather even if she didn't think she was dead back home. Because these people are rapidly becoming her family and getting through the chinks in her emotional armor way faster than anything like it ever happened in canon. I know some of that is because she doesn't have a lot of positive memories of home, or strong attachment memories to anyone other than KOS-MOS and Kevin, so we'll see how this goes. But Sapphire itself has also contributed a lot by being amazing, and by registering as Fellow Survivors Who've Been Through Shit.

How's Jaina getting along with Iolite, nowadays?

Standard fare; she gets along well with some -- Inara is forever her favorite and is getting over a bit of a rough patch with Spitfire -- and is on thin ice with others. She takes team into account a lot less these days.

Yay flirting! She contributes quite a lot of that, herself.

What happened with Jaina and Spit, to cause the aforementioned rough patch?

She started pressing him to talk about things that he wasn't comfortable talking about! Which prompted him to close off, and for a little while prompted her to push harder. Eventually she figured out she needed to stop pushing, and she explained why she had been in the first place. Things have smoothed over since.

Does Shion have an impression of Jaina from Judith? I recall seeing a mention somewhere about Shion learning some about Jaina and Judith's whole thing?

She knew they didn't get on, but probably not in a toxic way. Judith sounded like she respected her even if they didn't like each other. Mainly, the impression she got was of a strong-minded woman. Her *other* impression was that Mal's a ho. Which. Is fair. Not like she didn't flirt with him, too.

How did Jaina take Judy being Booked, speaking of those two?

She was kind of mad, because she felt like the two were finally close to resolving their issues. She also felt it was going to really hurt Sapphire, because she did see Judy looking out for her team and thought it was significant. Even so, Jaina gets prickly when something happens like Raven suggesting that she'll come back eventually because Jaina thinks Jacen's in the Book (actually he ran off with a Persona) and right now she prefers the idea of him staying there than coming back and her having to try kill him. So. She's averse to the idea of people coming back from the book, and figures she'll just going to have to accept that she can't finish trying to reach an understanding with Judy.

Does Shion have an engineering projects in mind?

Well, she just finished her additions to the notice board. If she's left alone long enough, she might try like electric wiring for Sapphire cabin. ...Actually, that might involve wiring all of Aather, since you need a power source and conduits - though if there's going to be an ocean, there'll be tides! I'd run something like that by the mods first, of course.

She'll also do her best to provide any electronic equipment the clinic might need. The real question there is what's faster, questing for parts, or the equipment itself.

Tell me about Snake's friendship with Cassie?

Snake clicked with Cassie early on because they both have this mindset where they're fighters now, they've always been fighters and always will be fighters. (Also he likes to take young soldiers under his wing; in Snake Eater, it's Ocelot, in Portable Ops it's Null/Grey Fox, in Peace Walker it's Chico, and in the original Metal Gear games where Solid Snake is infiltrating Big Boss' base, Big Boss has just a bunch of kids living there who are like YEAH HE SAVED US AND TAKES CARE OF US 8D)

So that sparked an interest on his side early on. And she was having trouble coping with things. And they're both of a mindset where sometimes the way to help someone is to punch them in the head and give them a kick in the pants to stop just moping around and actually deal with things. Things developed from there!

Cassie started seeing him like substitute Batman and wanted to impress him, and Snake started seeing her as a growing soldier with a lot of potential in the life ahead of her. He wants to encourage her to walk a strong and healthy path! It's a thing he does. Lately though he spends more time uncertain what to do for her because a lot of it's something like ... she's unhappy because her teammate did something, and he can't really help her anymore! They seem to be firmly out of the realm of "do this to fight better" and "you have to decide what to do for yourself" and so on. So right now he's very what doooooo.

If Snake wants some backup in a fight, she's the first person he'll turn to.

Who are Shion and Roxas' most important aather people?

For both of them, their teammates are at the top of that list. In Roxas's case especially, Emerald made him who he is, and that's someone he's proud to be. Both consider their teams family. Off-team, Roxas has got Ven, Rabbit, Josh, Axel and Saix. Shion, despite being the extrovert, actually has more barriers against getting close. Snake definitely comes to mind! Also Yukio, Mithos and other clinic folks.

Reverse for Snake and Jaina?

For Jaina, right now, her most important people are Inara, Mitchell, Spitfire and Zero. For Snake, it's Cassie, Shion, Sion, and Josh -- plus people that he's bonded with about the horrible things in the lives, but on a less personal level (for example, Zack and Guy).

Character's favorite game types?

Shion - Party and social games, like the one Goldie ran. Benevolent/helpful games, like Mally's medic game.

Roxas - Games where he gets to be active, like exploration games. Non-trauma games with a degree of risk, like the White Queen's Mastermind game. He wishes there were sports/fighting games (though his player realizes they'd be difficult to run.)

Jaina favors game's like Automaton's where the teams were to renovate houses. It appealed to her love of working with tools, as well as gave a clear goal and clear reasoning on how things would be judged. She's not a fan of socialization games even though Iolite has a good track record with them.

Snake likes games with food. He's actually kind of hankering for a game with combat because he considers that the thing he's good at.

What's Shion's current opinion of KOS-MOS?

KOS-MOS (and possibly Kevin) are Shion's only real ties and attachments to her world right now. KOS-MOS especially is someone she actively knows she adores, and wants more memories of. Someday, she'll get memories of her more ruthless side - and I'm not sure it would change much, but we'll see.

What kind of trauma game, if any, would get to Snake the most?

This is probably completely unoriginal, but a situation where others are being hurt/killed and all Snake can do is sit on the sidelines and emote are some of the worst. The absolute worst being a situation where he'd be forced to kill one of the people he considers "his." It's the situations where his cool, gruff attitude falls apart. He meant it when he said he thought Shion and the others stuck in Odile's columns had the hard part of that game. XD

Actually no answering this might not take me so long because mostly it is that. Ven kind of wants to spend more time with Roxas, maybe stay the night at Emerald again and share some memories and so on, because he hasn't been that close to him in a while (because Josh NRE), and he kind of misses that. He is maybe slowly working up the guts to talk twincest with him, but he's going to save that for a time when his life is stable in case it goes badly. >.>

Hilariously enough, parent/child is *somewhat valid,* considering canon. Just not in how their CR developed. Also, that'd be weiiiiiird.

Roxas is superfond of Ven! He's noticed they're not spending as much time together lately, but doesn't really see it as a rift. Just sometimes people need time to themselves/to spend with other people. Particularly their S.O.s. He does miss their hanging out, like they used to.

Stability would be so, so nice. Especially stability for both of them at the same time. Good luck with that, right.

I will probably do two for one...

Shion is pretty much a straightforward trivpos for Ven. He thinks she's super-cool and would gladly help her with stuff or hang out or comfort her as possible any day. He doesn't feel a hugely close emotional connection to her yet, but they are definitely friends! And she was definitely one of the reasons he freaked out at the concept of Gil poisoning somebody else's column.

Mark...is Mark...he likes talking with her! Which doesn't necessarily mean he's going to seek her out unless she finds him and bullies him into talking, because he's like that, especially now that he's like +500 awkward around cute chicks. But he still kind of wants to geek universe details with her, and I the player know that if the conversation ever turns to clones/Realians/etcetera she will rapidly gain a trust level. Basically, Mark likes her, but not Like That, which is good, because if he did, in his current state, she would never see him again.

Shion thinks Ven is adorable, and generally a good kid. Also a triv pos.

She likes Mark's snarky sense of humor and familiar worldview. A part of her recognizes him as someone messed up, subconsciously, which hilariously enough makes her more comfortable around him, not less. Ditto on the 'likes but not like that.'

Probably blue, that's what I use for that kind of non-romantic derefeelings.

Honestly pretty well, except that he's worried about other people. He's got a strong, solid support system, his team tends to troll or smash their way through trauma games in a stable and functional way, and environmental worries are eased. His memories aren't finding purchase on him; he's worried about them, but he has time to sit down and think and he knows how valuable that is. Mostly he's worried about Ven, and to some extent Mithos, and Raven a little. But Ven at least he can help, so that's actually a stabilizing factor in some ways.

Roxas is... I think he's doing okay. Just kind of skittish due to his last sig neg, at least till he gets the chance to talk to Axel and Saix about it. Which is going to be hilarious, since Axel does, indeed, remember some stuff from Castle Oblivion. Nothing he'd share, likely. ^.^ I think, much like Josh, he's getting to a rock-solid place. I don't know that anything can seriously fuck with him at this point, except for like, all his CR getting Booked, or remembering Axel and Xion's deaths.

TE's team meeting tradition possibly started before your time, but do you know *how* it got started?

As I remember, it started when Mitchell went against team consensus in one of Three's games and caused a big blowup, so they sat down like adults (...well, okay, Lark sat on Mitchell, and she has claws) and talked about it, and made an agreement about what to do next time. And it worked! So they kept doing it.
